a) Information you provide directly
- Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address.
- User-generated content: Tasks, prayer logs, journal entries, fasting records, sleep data, and any other content you create within the app. This content belongs to you.
- Communications: If you contact us for support, we collect the information you provide.
b) Information collected automatically
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and app version for functionality and crash reporting.
- Usage data: Features used, time spent in app, and interaction patterns — used solely to improve the Service.
- Location data: Approximate location (city-level) is used only to calculate accurate prayer times. We do not track or store your precise GPS location.
- Log data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited on our website for security and analytics.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with ad networks.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Trusted third parties who help us operate the Service (listed in Section 5), bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

- Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of Ihsaanify, our users, or the public.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Google Firebase, located in data centres with industry-standard physical and digital security controls. We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest for sensitive data.
Journal entries protected by PIN lock or biometric authentication are encrypted on your device. Ihsaanify staff cannot access the content of PIN-protected journal entries.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we use commercially reasonable measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated personal data.
- Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format from app Settings.
- Restriction: Request that we limit how we process your data.
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw at any time via app Settings or by contacting us.

8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete that information.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data outside your country, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection law.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the app and on our website with an updated effective date. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice such as an in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
